Niagara Falls Farmers Market - Call for Musicians

The City of Niagara Falls invites musicians to submit their interest in performing for the 2016 Farmers Market season.

The Niagara Falls Farmers Market offers free, live music to the community from the May long weekend to the Thanksgiving long weekend.

The Niagara Falls Farmers Market is a casual busy market. Folk music, light rock or country music can all be successful at this venue as people tend to listen to the music while shopping or enjoying snacks and beverages from our vendors.

The musical entertainment takes place on Saturday mornings starting May 21st and ending October 8th from 10:30 to 11:30 am. The area is open to the elements and is approximately 10’ x 10’ and can accommodate solo and small acts. Performers are required to bring their own sound equipment. All equipment must meet CSA standards/certifications and be in good working condition. Easy access to an electrical outlet will be provided. Musicians will be compensated for their services at $50 per performance.

Music must be appropriate for the venue and be suitable for all ages in a public setting. Musical performances must remain at a volume that allows the vendors to easily interact with customers.

Musicians are asked to express their interest via email including their full name, mailing address, phone number, samples or links to samples of their musical performances as well as their available Saturdays from May 21st to October 8th, 2016 to bangle@niagarafalls.ca. Past performers are not required to submit samples of their musical performances but are welcome to do so. All applicants will receive a confirmation email.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 8th, 2016. Submissions received after this date will be accepted and scheduled for performances pending available openings.

  • Thanks Debi. I follow Connecting Niagara on Twitter and Facebook as well. It's nice to have a site that promotes local events and organizations. We appreciate the support and promotion of our event.
