Almond Butter Crunch Day, Camera Day, Waffle Iron Day, Parchment Day
I guess, today is the day you might want to spend in the kitchen taking photos. Just what do you say about Almond Butter Crunch, Waffle Irons and Parchment?
It's also Camera Day, so pull out your recipe books, experiment with different recipes using parchment, cook up some almond butter crunch - maybe a waffle iron version of this. And, when all done snap a ton of photos.
Almond Butter Crunch Day
I don't think I've ever had this!
Waffle Iron Day
Another item in the kitchen. No thanks, I'll visit my favourite restaurants for waffles.
I can't say I have ever cooked using parchment, but then again, I rarely cook. I leave that to the chefs of the world.
Now this day I can relate to. I've always had a camera not too far from hand. When I was 10 or 11, I had saved up as much money as I could and gave it to my parents as all I wanted for Christmas that year was a 35mm camera. I received it and was well on my way to snapping photos everywhere I went. Of course in those days, I then had to save the money to get the film developed. Cameras have come a long way from then (that was the early 70s). Now, everyone is snap happy - sharing not only photos, but videos from their smartphones on their favourite social site. This is great - so much more is forever documented, however - how many take the time to print the photos? Gone will be the days of sitting around photo albums sharing your bit of history with grand-children and great-grandchildren. More like 'come see my facebook page'. That being said, do you remember the Polaroid camera - you know the one - snap a photo and out popped the photo for you to watch develop in front of your eyes.. Did you know, these instant cameras are making a come-back? Check this out site out for the variety. I still have an original polaroid - and it works!
