Funny, about a month ago, I was in the Stratford area for a meeting and then I headed to Goderich to visit with family. I was floored by the number of cows in the area. In almost every field - cows. Black cows, brown cows, black and white cows, red cows and here and there a few sheep, corn and soya. So many cows...
Etch-a-Sketch Day
Do they still make these? They're probably not needed any longer with all the apps on phones and tablets that do the same type of thing to keep children occupied. I remember spending hours doodling on the etch-a-sketch - probably the start of my career...Two Different Colour Eyes Day
I've seen dogs and horses and even cats with two different colour eyes, but I don't think I have met another person with two different colour eyes - how unique.
Pecan Pie Day and Eat Jello Day
For the food lover - it is a day to enjoy pecan pie and eating jello. I'm not too sure, I would want both in the same meal - good thing there are 3 meals in a day.
Paper Bag Day and Simplicity Day
These two also go hand-in-hand. How much simpler can it get than a paper bag. Do you remember as a kid making book covers from paper bags? I hated the first week of school just for this reason. I didn't deface books, I couldn't for the life of me understand why I had to put a paper bag over my book. I wanted to see the covers. But even 40+ years ago - recycle, reuse. As for Simplicity Day -- it's simple!
