What was the first book you recall reading? Me, it was a gift from my great-grandmother - oh around the age of 8 I think... I remember thinking what an odd gift from my Hungarian great-grandmother who barely spoke English. I wondered how she would even know it was a popular book for young people. Thinking about it later years, I realized one of my aunts or maybe even my parents probably purchased the book and said it was from my great-grandmother. Anyway -- I don't recall the title, but I do recall it was a Bobbsey Twins book. That book and the series were the start to my love of reading. I read every book in the complete series and continue to read today - although my tastes are a little more indepth than that of a 8-year-old.
