Free quit smoking help for Niagara residents

The STOP Program is led by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), and is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as part of its Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy.


NIAGARA REGION, Sept. 7, 2016 – Free quit smoking patches are available to Niagara residents for a limited time. The STOP (Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients) Program offers eligible participants in Niagara five weeks of cost-free nicotine replacement therapy and smoking cessation information to help them in their quit attempt.

WHAT: Free patches for adults in Niagara to quit smoking

WHERE: STOP workshops will be held in Thorold, Niagara Falls and Welland

WHEN: Sept. 29, Oct. 5 and Oct. 18, 2016

Registration is necessary. To find out if you are eligible and to register for a workshop, call 905-688-8248 ext. 7240, or 1-888-505-6074.

The STOP Program is led by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), and is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as part of its Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy. Niagara Region Public Health is collaborating with CAMH to provide the STOP program in Niagara.
