A refreshed tourism website for St. Catharines makes it easy for visitors to map their adventures here in #OurHomeSTC.

Tourism St. Catharines launched the new website in conjunction with Ontario Tourism Week (May 29 to June 3) to promote the experiences and attractions here in the Garden City. Check out the website at www.tourismstcatharines.ca.

“The brand new website is very interactive, engaging and user-friendly,” said Karen Doyle, the City’s tourism marketing officer. “It really highlights the range of experiences in St. Catharines and makes it easy for visitors to picture themselves here.”

The website features hundreds of photos of attractions, events and local businesses so visitors can easily find exciting things to do, delicious cuisine to try and cozy places to stay. Visitors can use key words, price points, time of year and who they are travelling with to filter for the experiences they are looking. They can also navigate through drop down menus to plan their trips. A new trip builder feature allows visitors to browse the website, add experiences to their trip and print or email their itinerary.

With more and more visitors coming to St. Catharines, Doyle said the refreshed website enhances the City’s support of the local tourism industry. The new trip builder and itinerary features, for example, allow visitors and residents to plan their stops and puts them in touch with accommodators, entertainment venues and other local businesses more easily.

“Visitors can explore the website, learn what St. Catharines has to offer and truly map their adventure,” Doyle said. “And it’s not just for tourists. Whether its events at the Meridian Centre, shows at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre or festivals and other activities in the city, residents can also keep up with what’s happening in St. Catharines.”
