Canadian recall notices and warnings of Various Riding Lawn Mowers
Briggs & Stratton Corporation recalls Various Riding Lawn Mowers
Various Simplicity, Snapper, and Massey Ferguson riding lawn mowers
This recall involves certain models and serial numbers of Simplicity, Snapper, and Massey Ferguson riding lawn mowers. The riding lawn mowers are black and red or black and orange with “Simplicity”, “Snapper”, or “Massey Fergusen” printed on the hood. The model and serial numbers are located on the lower right side of the riding lawn mowers.
If a black dot is present on either the equipment ID label or the shipping crate label, the product has been repaired and is not included in the recall.
The reverse-mow option switch can malfunction and allow the riding lawn mowers to unintentionally mow when being driven in a reverse direction, posing a risk of injury to the operator and bystanders.
As of February 27, 2018, Briggs & Stratton Corporation has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States.
