The STOP (Smoking Treatment for Ontario Patients) Program offers eligible participants in Niagara five weeks of cost-free nicotine replacement therapy and smoking cessation information to help them in their quit attempt.
Ontario has taken steps to help people make informed decisions when booking travel by increasing consumer protection and transparency. As of January 1, 2017, Ontario travel agents and wholesalers are now required to display the total cost, including all taxes and fees, in any advertisements that include price of travel.
“Transportation is about more than just cars and streets,” said Brian Applebee, manager of transportation services for the City. “It’s about providing alternative and sustainable ways to connect residents to the places they need to go, both within the city and beyond our borders.”

The new pilot system offers many benefits, including reducing the margin of human error as well as the amount of administrative burden involved in the process for both Niagara Regional Police staff and court staff.
