Nominations for the 2018 City of St. Catharines Trillium Awards are now open. Visit www.stcatharines.ca/trilliumawards to submit your nominations today.

The Trillium Awards honour residents and organizations committed to making St. Catharines' neighbourhoods more beautiful and friendly places with creative landscaping. All properties in the St. Catharines, including residential, commercial and industrial properties, are eligible to participate. Residents can nominate their property or other properties that have caught their eye. Entry is free.

Nominations close June 22. A panel of judges will consider nominations and view properties later this month. The City will announce Trillium Award recipients during a reception at City Hall in September.

The City will recognize properties with Trillium Awards in five categories, including two Civic Beautification awards per ward for residences showing outstanding contributions to the beautification of St. Catharines. New this year is an award recognizing the greening efforts at apartment buildings, condo developments, retirement homes and other types of multi-residential properties.

Other categories include commercial/industrial property, significant tree, and the Mayor’s Award for the best overall property. The City will also recognize an individual or community organization for a significant contribution to greening the community and inspiring others to do so as well with the Green Leader Award.
