After an eight-month research and development phase, their wholly organic, 100% vegan, all-natural treat called Muscle Cups, is finally on the market.

Niagara Falls – April 6, 2016 When opposites attract the results are often spectacular. That is surly the case when a sweet-making baker and a flab-defying nutritionalist team up to create a sinfully delicious treat, made for the nuttiest of health nuts.

After an eight-month research and development phase, their wholly organic, 100% vegan, all-natural treat called Muscle Cups, is finally on the market.

From his place of business at Go Fitness Niagara, Joshua Green has been test marketing Muscle Cups on his fitness and nutrition-minded clients. There, Green refined the recipe developed the packaging and built up a demand among the loyal customers and clientele.

It was a chance meeting between Green and his counterpart Tanya Huggins, owner of Bella Cakes Niagara that lead to this unlikely pairing.

“We knew each other in high school before either of us was in business”, says Green. “Although, not the same high school”, Huggins is quick to add,“ we became reacquainted and before you know it we shook hands on a deal”.

Busy with his growing Fitness Studio, Green who is a Certified Training instructor and Nutritionist, needed a partner that could match the exacting standards of his recipe as well as produce the Muscle Cups in large enough quantities to keep his customers happy.

“That’s where I came in,” says Huggins. “I really liked the idea of using ingredients that would boost energy, boost thyroid function and in turn a boost metabolism for Josh’s clients. These are fitness buffs, that are really into taking care of their bodies, but like anybody they want a treat every now and then.”

Muscle Cups are a tasty combination of Natural Cocoa and Peanut Butter, served up in a bite-sized disc. Not only are they far better tasting that the commercial orange and brown ones, they contain no refined sugars, are high in protein, aid in digestion, and contain antioxidants that help preserve cellular health.

“We put a new spin on an old marketing line,” Green starts off, “You put a bakery in my fitness studio”.

Oh, yeah? You put a fitness studio in my bakery, counters Huggins.

You could say, “It’s two great businesses that work great together.”
