Today is Golfer's Day - how appropriate for a Sunday - albeit a little cold today.

Everyday we find interesting tidbits to talk about. Today, grab your sibling (Sibling Day) and head out for a round of golf (Golfer's Day), and don't forget a safety pin (Safety Pin) day, just in case it is needed.
Today, we thought we would write a little more about golf - mainly because we saw a very funny Robin Williams video on the topic earlier in the week. The video was shared by a friend and the owner of Turf Net Sports Supplies on Hwy 20 in Fonthill. We're not sure which golf courses are open today with it being a little chilly outside. However, Turf Net is definitely open for indoor golf on one of two simulators - choose your favourite golf course in the world to play. Or, try your stroke in the batting cage so to speak.. Any way, here is the Robin Williams Video -- it is quite funny:
So, there are a few theories about where golf came from. Some believe from the Scottish word 'goulf' (to strike or cuff), others believe from the Dutch - a stick or a club is 'kolf'. There even a few acronyms - but I won't get in to those....
Today is for celebrating the golfer - we bet you know a few..
So, if nothing else, send them this video - they will get a chuckle...
