Lucy's Cafe and Catering, a hidden dining treasure in Port Colborne.

Earlier this week while visiting local restaurants and pubs in Port Colborne, myself and a friend came across this little-known, yet well-known treasure in Port Colborne. A quaint Italian eatery on Nickel Street, home to Lucy Overholt and her family traditions of feeding the family - yours and hers. The menu filled with traditional italian pasta dishes along with steak and seafood, all at very reasonable prices. Even the wine list, while small, was very moderately priced.
We had a good chat with Lucy, she told us how everything is made at the restaurant from scratch from her family recipes. You could see how much care and love she puts in to the dishes she prepares and her cafe. Too early in the season for the garden patio, we will look forward to returning when we can enjoy the patio behind the property. Complete with fountains and italian decor, the patio truly is a hidden treasure as well.

You don't have to take our word for it, check out the video from food and wine writer, Lynn Ogryzlo in Tastes of Niagara - with columnist & author, Bill Thomas.
