The Welland Employment Solutions office and the Workplace Safety Group partner to educate employers using temporary and seasonal workers.

If you are using temporary / seasonal employees, i's critical to fine-tune your temporary employee safety program in order to protect workers and avoid substantial fines if you are found liable in an incident.

The OHSA states that both the host employer and the hiring/staffing agency are responsible for the safety of seasonal/temporary workers, and has identified key areas that must be addressed prior to placement. These include training, hazard recognition, clear documentation of roles and responsibilities, and injury tracking.

Since launching the Temporary/Seasonal Worker Safety Awareness for Employers initiative, Workplace Safety Group has been increasingly helpful in preventing work-related injuries and illnesses among temporary and seasonal workers, one of Niagara's largest employment sectors.

Employment Solutions in Welland wants to help you introduce your new workers safely into the workforce and is sponsoring this a free 1/2 day, no obligation seminar on May 4th at 8:30 am.

Workplace Safety Group & Employment Solutions are ready to help you with your Temporary Worker Safety responsibilities.
