London On: In partnership with local sponsors, ShopLocalNow.ca launched the "Digital Biz Makeover to give businesses the chance to revamp their digital presence. With the guidance of a committee of judges, this contest will give the winning business owners the opportunity to revamp their online presence.
Despite the fact that 97 percent of consumers search for products and services online, only 51 percent of small businesses have an online presence. The most often reported reasons are lack of time, money and expertise. Starting today through July 15, business owners will be able to change that with a chance to win $2,500 credit to makeover their digital presence. The winner can expect customized technical and creative support to create an engaging and effective web presence.
"A strong online presence is impactful for businesses of all sizes, but it really makes a big difference for small businesses that are often looking to grow outside word of mouth and localized marketing," said Katherine Haine, CEO of ShopLocalNow.ca. "Working on the 'Digital Biz Makeover' is a chance to deliver impactful services to business owners that until now, saw them as either too costly or time-consuming. I'm looking forward to seeing the entrants and working them to make a big change in their businesses."
Participation in the "Digital Biz Makeover" is free of charge and open to the public, resulting in three winners at the close of the contest. Participants are encouraged to share their submission to receive votes for the chance to win the Grand Prize.
