Arguably the largest summer festival in the Niagara region occurs this weekend. Starting Friday 29th July and concluding Monday 1st August, the 38th annual "Canal Days" in Port Colborne, on the south shore of the Niagara region, is a huge attraction. Craft vendors, local food and beverages, street performers, solo musicians and bands with large individual followings bring tens of thousand to the pretty little town on Lake Erie. Add to this the tall ships and boats, a classic car show, the local unique businesses and more and you have a 4 day sight and sound spectacular for the whole family.Previous headliners such as Honeymoon Suite, Platinum Blonde, Trooper, Big Sugar, Tea Party, Sloan and I Mother Earth to name a few, have made the main stage of the festival their own.

Don't forget to take a ride on the "Empire Sandy" tall ship and stick around for the stunning fireworks over the Welland Canal at 10pm Sunday evening too!
A wonderful way to spend time over the civic holiday weekend.
