Niagara Region’s Chief Administrative Officer Carmen D’Angelo announced today the appointment of Chris Carter to the newly created position of General Manager, effective Wednesday, May 24.
Reporting to the CAO, the General Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations and setting future direction for the divisions of Human Resources, Information Technology, Customer Service and the Clerk’s office.
Carter comes to the Region from the Township of West Lincoln where he has served as CAO since 2014. He is a proven, effective and enthusiastic leader with over 15 years of municipal government management experience across a range of services including Executive Management, Economic and Community Development, Recreation and Culture, and Community Services.
