Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Opened Today | Connecting Niagara

The Niagara Story Place sponsored by Calhoun

Niagara's newest steakhouse open for business in Welland today, kicked off at the official ribbon cutting.

Many have been waiting eagerly for the opening of Niagara's newest steakhouse since the announcement this spring. Mr. Mikes Steakhouse Casual, a franchise known previously on the west coast of Canada only, opened its doors this morning at 11 am.  A VIP event happened Saturday night for a soft launch. Today, it is open to everyone.

MR MIKES® SteakhouseCasual offers great food in an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable, which continues to resonate strongly with Canadians from coast to coast. The growth in new units emphasizes how Canadians feel about MR MIKES® and its comfortable dining experience.

“We are very proud to have a leading Canadian restaurant franchise, share their nearly 60-year history and knowledge with us”, said Mike Belcastro, President of Seaway Mall.

staff and guests

MR MIKES® customers can enjoy a meal in the restaurant’s comfortable, family-friendly dining room or the urbanLODGE, a one-of-a-kind lounge where diners can engage with friends over food and drinks, board games and nostalgic movies. From long-standing menu favourites like the Mikeburger® to signature steaks, phenomenal salads and modern twists on Canadian classics, MR MIKES® offers something for every dinner.

Established in 1960, the MR MIKES® brand is well known and loved for its irreverent and comfortable non-pretentious steakhouse experience that resonates with Canadians for great food, affordable indulgences and unique style. MR MIKES® currently operates over 30 locations and opening 30 more across Canada over the next few years. This is the first location in Ontario.

  • Thanks Debi. I follow Connecting Niagara on Twitter and Facebook as well. It's nice to have a site that promotes local events and organizations. We appreciate the support and promotion of our event.
