It all started in 1755 by Charles Frederick Wiesenthal with an idea to simplify hand-sewing. In 1790 Thomas Saint had a similar idea. Neither came to fruition. It wasn't until 1829 when Barthelemy Thimonnier patented his sewing machine invention, revolutionizing the textile industry.
Just think, without this amazing machine, the fashion industry would not be where it is today...
Kitchen Klutzes Day
We have no idea where or how this day came to be, but we're sure you know someone who is a disaster in the kitchen. The watched pot never boils, or it boils and overflows.
