Want to add a little colour outside your business? The City of St. Catharines can help with its annual flower pot program.
Businesses can rent professionally designed and planted 27-inch pots filled with plants perfect to set out in front of stores, offices and other businesses. This year’s pots feature flowers with red and white blooms in honour of Canada’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
“St. Catharines is known as the Garden City and our community takes a lot of pride in that reputation,” said Phil Cristi, acting director of parks, recreation and culture services. “The flower pots add a touch of colour to our streets that help liven up our neighbourhoods and make them more beautiful and inviting.”
The City offers the flower pot program through its Green Advisory Committee. Flower pot rental fees are: $82 for one; $154 for two, $215 for three, or $266 for four and include delivery in late spring and pick up in early fall. Businesses are responsible for watering the pots throughout the season.
